Join us and be part of the team behind some of the world´s largest and most successful bike-share systems! Lyft’s team in Montreal is seeking a Software Developer to join its LUS Kiosk Software team. Our mission is to deliver and support high quality software running on our bike and scooter kiosks. To do so, we develop new features, integrate new hardware, and work on improving reliability, security, and user experience. While interviews and interactions with other offices will be conducted in English, the working environment in Montreal is bilingual. **Responsibilities:** + Integrate new hardware into our existing software stack to support our latest products. + Contribute to the unification of our various existing software stacks. + Collaborate with the team in designing new features and improved code architecture. + Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code. + Demonstrate a strong understanding of the various trade-offs involved in decision-making and be able to explain them clearly. + Unblock, provide support, communicate effectively, and obtain buy-in across teams to achieve results. **Experience** **:** + BSc/MSc in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. + 5+ years of experience as a software developer. + Proficiency in Python. + Experience with JavaScript, C, Java, and Go is a plus. + Experience in IoT software development is a plus. + Experience with embedded systems is a plus. + Experience with UI applications is a plus. + Must be fluent in spoken and written English / French. **Benefits:** + Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans, including family coverage + Life insurance and disability benefits + Mental health support programs + Healthcare Spending Account (HSA) + Fertility and family-building support + Complimentary lunch, snacks, beverages, coffee, and tea in our offices + Additional holidays (13 in 2024, 5 more than the legal requirement) + 15 days of paid time off, with an extra day for each year of service, up to a maximum of 25 days + 4 floating holidays per year + 10 paid sick days annually + Occasional company-wide recharge days (5 in 2024) + Up to 18 weeks of fully paid parental leave, subject to certain conditions, for biological, adoptive, and foster parents + And other special benefits related to our services _Lyft proudly pursues and hires a diverse workforce.
